Has any G6 Play user ever had this problem? If so, what did you do to solve? I'm trying every solution possible before seeking a physical repair. Now, any fingerprint setting won't show up at all nothing on Settings, no fingerprint icon on the unlock screen, nothing. After trying a few internet solutions (such as clearing the system UI cache and forcing it stop), I reset my phone in safe mode, and then on normal mode again. When I first tried to input a new fingerprint print, I had the message "Fingerprint hardware not available". After getting no success, I tried setting up a new fingerprint.
Then, as the issue repeated this morning, I tried using apps that also require fingerprint scan to unlock, such as AppLock. I assumed my hand was a bit sweaty and just used the pattern to unlock it. It started yesterday I could no longer unlock my phone using the fingerprint sensor. If you are asking for purchase advice, make sure you mention the max budget, your usage pattern, phone requirements by your priorities - connectivity, storage, camera, performance, display etc. Mention your issue in detail with a screenshots of the error message and/or Settings > About Phone alongwith your model number, unlocked/carrier, stock/custom/rooted ROM etc. Promotions, giveaways, affiliates, piracy, blog spams, offtopic, buying or selling used gadgets are strictly not allowed.
